Yogurt in kurma, biryani and things like that is fine but I still haven't made friends with Mor Kuzhambu. My husband loves Mor Kuzhambu for lunch. Back in my place, we add shallots in mor kuzhambu which is unusual. This is my family recipe and this is how we do it.

Instructions to make Mor kuzhambu:
  1. Cut the pumpkin into small pieces and boil with some salt.
  2. In a mixer jar add in all the items under "To make Paste" and grind them to a fine paste by adding some water.
  3. Take the cup of curd in a bowl and beat it smooth with enough water to make Buttermilk.
  4. In a pan,  Heat a tbsp of oil and all the items under "To Tamper" and saute for a minute.
    1. Now add in the grounded coconut paste and saute for a minute.
    1. Add in the boiled pumpkin pieces and the curd mixture. Switch off the stove immediately after one boil.

Back in my place, we add shallots in mor kuzhambu which is unusual. This is my family recipe and this is how we do it.
