  1. Prepare 250 gms yam chena / peeled and diced into small pieces
  2. Get 1/2 cup yoghurt
  3. Make ready 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  4. Get 1/2 tsp chili powder red
  5. Get 1/2 cup coconut
  6. Make ready 2 pinchs jeera
  7. Get 2 nos green chilli
  8. Get 1 tbsp oil
  9. Make ready 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  10. Prepare 1/4 tsp methi seeds
  11. Make ready 2 nos red chili dry
  12. Get curry leaves

Moru Curry with Kumbalanga is a common dish in every Malayalee household. Instructions to make Chena moru curry:
  1. Cook the chena /yam with turmeric powder,  red chilli powder, salt and  1/2  a cup of water.
  2. Grind the ingredients mentioned above to a smooth paste. Finally add yoghurt to this mixture and have a stir. Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and do the tempering. Pour this to the curry.Switch off the stove,but don't remove from the stove. Add the yoghurt mixture to this and keep stirring till the mixture is just warm and not boiling.
  4. Serve hot with rice.
