The ingredients needed to make Moru curry:
  1. Get 1 . Curd - 2 cup
  2. Take 2 . Water - 1 cup
  3. Make ready 3 . Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn + 2 pinches

  5. Prepare 5 . Ginger - small pieces
  6. Prepare 6 . Garlic - 1
  7. Get 7 . Green chilli - 2

  14. Prepare 14 . Chilli powder - 1/4 tspn

It is a mild spicy curry with yogurt and some spices. Moru curry or moru kachiyathu is a simple quickly made buttermilk curry where the buttermilk is added to an aromatic tempering. Other south indian recipes to be tried are groundnut chutney, mutton kulambu, egg kulambu, masala dosa, south indian egg curry, onion chutney, coconut chutney, pudina chutney, dosakaya pachadi etc… In a pan, heat coconut oil and temper mustard seeds, cumin seeds, dried red chillies, fenugreek seeds - let them splutter.   1. Whisk curd with 1 cup water to form buttermilk.
  2. In a large kadai, heat 1 tbspn coconut oil, add small onion, ginger, garlic, 1 greenchilli and curry leaves. Saute for few seconds.
  3. Add turmeric powder and saute until the raw aroma is gone.
  4. Add whisked curd (buttermilk) and salt. Stir continuously.
  5. Stir until the curd is combined well without getting to a boil. (Note : Don't boil just make it hot). Switch off the flame. Keep it aside.
  6. In a small pan, heat 1 tbspn oil and splutter mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, dry redchilli, 1 greenchilli, few curry leaves and red chilli powder.
  7. Pour this into buttermilk and mix well. Close for 5 minutes and serve.
