  22. Prepare 10 cashewnuts fried

  25. Make ready 1/4 cup coriander leaves chopped

  28. Get 3 kg chicken cut into medium size
  29. Make ready 1/2 litre coconut oil
  30. Make ready 2 tsp red chilli powder
  31. Prepare 1 tsp turmeric powder
  32. Get 11/2 tsp salt
  33. Make ready 1 pinch red food colour
  34. Take 3 tsp curd
  35. Make ready 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

  37. Make ready 4-5 tbsp garam masala powder
  38. Take 100 g ghee (RKG)

Instructions to make Chicken dum biriyani:
  1. In a Bowl add turmeric powder,red chilli Powder,salt,curd,ginger garlic paste and food colour,then mix it add the chicken pieces and again mix it.Keep it aside for 30 mins.
  2. Heat a big pan or kadhai.Add the coconut oil. Fry the cashews and raisins.Keep aside then fry the onion. Keep aside.Fry the chicken also.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp or more oil on a pan. Add the sliced onion and let it get golden Brown,then add the ginger garlic paste and the chilli paste.Saute them for few minutes then add tomatoes.Reduce the flame and cover the pan.When the tomatoes are fully cooked add turmeric and black pepper powder.Saute them till the raw smell goes.Finally add the chopped leaves.Switch off the flame and add the fried chicken to it.
  4. In a big pan add the water for boiling.When it getting to boil add the cardamom cinnamon and cloves.Add the lemon juice and salt,then add rice(rice soak in water for 30 mins and wash and drain it). When it cooked(don't over cook it we want to do dum also)strain it in a strainer.
  5. We want to start our final process at this time.
  6. Take a clean big pot and add some RKG,then add some cooked rice and make it a layer on top of the rice pour the RKG again and sprinkle 1 tbsp gram masala powder.On top of it add the half of the chicken masala then again add some cooked rice make it as a layer repeat the same process mentioned above finally we want rice on the top.Add the remaining RKG and gram masala powder.Sprinkle the fried onions cashews and raisins. Decorate it with the leaves.Close it and dum it for 30 minutes.
