  2. Crush garlic,pepper and jeera.
  3. Squeeze tamarind to the cooked dal.Add salt,turmeric powder.Then add cut tomatoes and blend well and keep aside.
  4. In frying pan add little oil,fry mustards and curry leaves.Then add the crushed garlic,pepper,jeera and asafoetida.
  5. Then add the dal &tomato.pour enough water.add rasam powder.bring to a  boil and  coriander leaves. The whole kitchen will be filled with the aroma of the rasam.its good to drink as such or you can have it with plain rice.
