Poha is one of the most popular of recent trending meals in the world. It’s simple, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It’s appreciated by millions every day. Poha is something that I have loved my entire life. They are fine and they look wonderful.

The ingredients needed to make Poha:
  1. Get 1 cup soaked poha
  2. Get 1 small potato chopped
  3. Make ready 1/2 cup peas boiled
  4. Prepare 1 small capsicum chopped (optional)
  5. Make ready 1 medium carrort chopped
  6. Get 1/2 cup cauliflower florest broken in small pieces
  7. Get 1/2 medium sized onion chopped +1/2 copped for garnishing

  11. Make ready as needed coriander leaves finely chopped

  16. Prepare 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  17. Take to taste turmeric powder
  18. Take to taste salt

It is not only popular in Maharashtrian and Gujarati cuisines but also in many other regions of India. Poha is prepared in a similar way in most regions. Similar to how Idli and Upma are traditional breakfast recipes of Southern India, Poha is traditional and widely preferred breakfast recipe in Western states of India. This recipe is known as Pohe in Maharashtra and Poha in Gujarat and follows the same preparation method with poha (rice flakes) being the main ingredient.

Steps to make Poha:
  1. Heat a pan, add Mustard oil, jeera and curry leaves, let it crackle. Add chopped potato, carrot, cauliflower, cook covered for 4-5 minutes. Add onion, capsicum, peas and saute for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Once vegetables are cooked, take it out in a bowl.
  3. Add ghee in the same pan, add Mustard seeds, soaked poha and saute for 2 minutes, add little sugar (1 tsp) and salt.
  4. Then add the vegetables and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves, bhujiya and green chillies, and 1/2 chopped onion and lemon juice. Have this delicious poha with a cup of tea.
