It is a staple dish in South Indian homes and is also equally popular and loved by many. At the end of this time, squeeze and press the tamarind with your fingers to release as much pulp in the water as possible, then strain, discard the fibrous residue and seeds, and reserve the tamarind water. The speciality of this sambhar is that it is made with minimal oil and loads of vegetables which enhance its nutritive value.

  1. Make ready 250 g arhar daal
  2. Prepare 2 each chopped peeled potato, onion ,tomato

  6. Take 100 imli (tamarind)
  7. Make ready 9-10 leaves curry patta
  8. Prepare 4 green chilli

  10. Prepare 2 tbsp Sambhar masala
  11. Take 2 tbsp oil
  12. Make ready 2 spoon mustard seeds

Instructions to make Sambhar:
  1. Boil dal, imli and vegetables separately. Put oil in kadai.Now put curry patta,mustard and red chilli in kadai.
  2. Separate seeds of imli. Now add Sambhar masala in water of imli.Now put this mixture in kadai.
  3. Mix dal vegetables and recently made mixture. Then give 2 whistle this mixture in pressure cooker.
  4. Now serve it and eat it ๐Ÿ˜‹.
