  4. Once cooked remove the boiled soup, you can temper it just as it is or grind it in the mixer grinder to get a smooth texture.
  5. In a heavy bottom pan add one 1 tsp of olive oil / ghee / refined oil, once the oil is hot add the finely chopped garlic. Sauté for a minute and then add the dal / soup.
  6. Boil it for 3-4 minutes; adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot, if I had my way with a large dollop of home made white butter, but settled for brown bread instead.
