  20. Make ready 1 tsp Grated ginger
  21. Prepare 1 tsp cumin seeds
  22. Make ready 2 medium sized potatoes
  23. Take to taste Chilli powder
  24. Get 1 tsp Coriander powder
  25. Prepare To taste Salt
  26. Take Kismuri (bittergourd salad)
  27. Take 1 chopped bittergourd
  28. Take 1 chopped onion
  29. Prepare 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  30. Make ready 1 tsp Chilli powder / green chilli
  31. Get to taste Salt
  32. Make ready Vermicelli Payasa
  33. Make ready 4 spoon ghee
  34. Prepare 5-10 cashew nuts
  35. Make ready 5 badam/almonds
  36. Get 10-15 raisins
  37. Prepare 200 gm vermicelli
  38. Get 100 gm sugar
  39. Make ready 1/2 litre milk

Thali refers to a complete Indian meal in which a variety of dishes are served together on a large platter. The concept of thali has always been popular among foodies and the bigger a thali is the better the experience gets. Green Chutney is something my mum makes quite often to accompany our home cooked meals. It is a very well known Indian condiment.

Steps to make Thali:
  1. For making sambar, In a pressure cooker, add dal, water and all the vegetables
  2. After 2 to 3 whistle, turn off the gas and keep it to rest for 30 minutes.then add some water and all of the spices.
  3. Turn on the gas and add salt, asafoetida. After it comes to a boil, simmer on low. In another pan, add oil, cumin seeds, Fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  4. Put this to your sambar and garnish with coriander leaves
  5. Alu palak. Blanch Palak and grind into fine paste
  6. In a kadai, add oil, cumin seeds, garlic, ginger paste. Now add chopped onion and tomatoes. Add the spices.
  7. Add chopped potatoes. Add the blanched Palak to the kadai. Add fresh cream(optional). Turn off the stove and serve hot.
  8. Kismuri(bittergourd salad)
  9. In the kadai, add oil with chopped bittergourd, sauté for 5-10mins.
  10. After it cools, add onions, coconut,salt, 1tsp chilli powder.
  11. Mix it well. Your salad is ready
  12. Payasam/kheer
  13. In a vessel, add ghee, sauté dry fruits and keep it aside
  14. In the same vessel, add vermicelli, dry roast till golden brown and keep aside.
  15. In the same vessel, Add milk and boil, add sugar. Add the vermicelli and boil it. Simmer on low for 10-15mins. Keep stirring.
  16. Garnish with dry fruits.
  17. Please note :- if you desire more thickness, add grinded coconut and soaked rice.
