Method for Dal: Wash Bengal gram and black gram. Add dough balls to the boiling dal one by one. Dhokla Cooker is an essential product for making Dhoklas. High quality material has been used create the best product.

  1. In a morter and pestle ground together citric acid, sugar and salt, into a powder
  2. In a mixing bowl seive besan, now by adding water little by little make a smooth and fluffy batter, whisk it properly until becomes light in weight and colour. Use full cup of water
  3. Then add oil and turmeric and mix well, now add fruit salt and immediately mix nicely. Now pour 3 /4 of the batter in a greased foil box. Add colour to the remaining batter and mix well. Now pour this orange batter on top of the yellow batter, the marble effect will come on it's own
  4. Place this box in a vessel with water. Cover and steam for 15 minutes
  5. Then take it out and let it cool down a little, then unmould it in a plate and cut it in slices
  6. Now arrange the slices in a serving plate. Now prepare tadka of oil, mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves and green chillies, let them splutter. Then pour this tadka on top of each slice and garnish with chopped coriander and grated coconut. Serve them with any chutney of your choice.
