  2. Prepare 2 medium sized chopped onions
  3. Take 2 tomatoes chopped

  6. Prepare 2 green chilli chopped
  7. Take 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  8. Get to taste Salt
  9. Make ready 1 tsp turmeric powder
  10. Get 1 tsp Jeera(cumin) powder
  11. Take 1 tsp dhania(coriander) powder
  12. Get 2 tbsp Oil
  13. Take As needed Water

Now fry it on high heat at this time. Fry all the sides until Idlis turn golden brown. Heat oil in kadai - add the slices in batches. Repeat to finish, Remove and set aside.

Instructions to make Idli fry:
  1. Heat a pan with oil. Add mustard seeds. When it splutters add green chilli and curry leaves. Then add onion.
  2. Fry it till it becomes brown. Then add all the powder spices and a spoon water to it. Then add tomatoes and salt. Fry it properly. Make a thick gravy. Then add chopped idli and give a good mix.
  3. Then again add 2 spoon water. Mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves and cover the lid for 5 mins.
  4. It's done now. Serve hot.

Heat oil in kadai - add the slices in batches. Repeat to finish, Remove and set aside. Now in the same kadai add mustard seeds let it crackle. Add curry leaves,red chillies - saute for a minute. Fried Idli can also be served as an appetizer before any meal and is a great way to make use of those leftover idlis.
